From Hatted Heroes to Low-key Lunches – Enjoy Friends of Good Food Month (and more) at Home

It’s going to take more than a lockdown to stop Melbournians from getting their fix of great food. Some of the city’s all-time favourite restaurants, and some neighbourhood locals, are offering delicious menus for home dining at the moment.

We rounded up a few of our fave venues, including offerings from Friends of Good Food Month restaurants, to have you spoilt for [culinary] choice this Good Food Month.

Longrain Melbourne

Since 2005 Longrain Melbourne has been serving up incredible modern Thai to eager Melbournans. With its elongated bar, communal tables and open kitchen, food lovers evolved into regulars and Longrain Melbourne became an institution. While Covid is making us all pivot our plans, you can still get your Longrain Melbourne fix via delivery. That’s right; banquets, Thai bites, mains, sides and desserts are all available seven days a week. Just click on the link below and you’ll be feasting on Longrain Melbourne’s contemporary Thai in no time.

Rice Paper Scissors

Crowd fave Rice Paper Scissors pays homage to the hawker dining bars of South East Asia, focussing on shared-eating dishes. So if you’re after a lockdown banquet, you’ve found it. They’re running their at-home service during lockdown within 40km of Melbourne CBD (!), with next day delivery on orders placed before 4 pm. We love the RPS Weekender Box; choose portion sizes, select from five dinner dishes, and then choose breakfast for the next morning. It’s the perfect weekend (or midweek) treat. If you’re thirsty, add on ready-to-drink cocktails – and for sweet tooths, desserts are available too. Just jump on the link below to get ordering.
