Sydney Snack Series, presented by Aurum Poultry Co.

Clear the calendar – June is THE month for serious snacking with Good Food Events’ inaugural Snack Series, presented by Aurum Poultry Co.. Sydney favourites Sydney favourites Viand, Firepop, Island Radio, 20 Chapel, and The Panorama Bar have all joined in the celebrations by creating one elevated poultry (specifically, cockerel) snack each from 1-30 June.

Each restaurant’s snack will be different – and capped at a maximum price of $25. The venues have been hand-picked to represent the diversity of Sydney’s eclectic food scene, incorporating different cultures, price points, and styles. Viand, led by hatted chef Annita Potter, brings a refined and modern take on Thai cuisine, while the 2025 Good Food Guide’s restaurant of the year, Firepop with Raymond Hou, known for its precision-grilled skewers, adds fire and flavour to the mix. Pan-Asian young gun Andy Wirya of Island Radio brings bold yet casual flavours, and ex-Rockpool culinary director Corey Costelloe’s 20 Chapel showcases its signature protein prowess. Meanwhile, The Panorama Bar—helmed by group culinary director Joel Bickford and and Head Chef Kazu Matsumoto —delivers a high-end ‘sip and snack’ experience, perfect for sun-soaked lunches, golden hour drinks, and nighttime gatherings with stunning city views.

The snacking doesn’t end here…Join us on our socials for the full Snack Series journey as legendary SNACK KING, Mitch Orr, takes us behind-the-scenes of each restaurant and chats with our chefs about how each snack was made, the inspiration behind it and so much more. Mitch created a snack for Good Food Event’s Melbourne Snack Series when he was culinary director of Prince Dining Room alongside head chef Ben Parkinson.

Mitch Orr says, “I think snacks have always been a thing. They’ve just been taken out of the realm of tasting menus. For us as chefs, snacks are a great creative outlet. No one doesn’t like a snack.”
